PRP Microneedling
PRP
Description
The addition of PRP from the blood makes microneedling more effective. The liquid in blood is plasma, while platelets are solid. Platelets help blood clot, so they are vital for healing wounds and injuries. PRP is plasma in which the concentration of platelets is higher than that of other components of the blood. PRP contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself. The addition of PRP to microneedling may speed up the healing process and stimulate skin renewal.

What It Treats
PRP Microneedling treats fine lines, scarring, skin tone and texture, pigmentation, dull skin, scarring and more.
How It Works
Microneedling with PRP treatment stimulates fresh collagen production deep within the canvas by tiny needles over the skin and applying platelets, which are one of the components of blood. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing and rebuilding properties to uncover a new canvas. Appropriate for all skin types.
Pre Treatment
For enhanced comfort, we’ll apply topical anesthesia prior to your treatment. We’ll then clean and prep the area with alcohol to remove anesthetic residue prior to treatment.
Post Treatment
After your treatment, you’ll experience mild redness which will subside within several hours. We recommend waiting four hours to wash your face. You should avoid skin irritants and heat exposure – including saunas, hot baths and hot yoga – for 1-2 days following your treatment.

What skin conditions does it treat?
PRP Microneedling does it all. This gentle, non-invasive treatment can treat fine lines, scarring, uneven skin tone and texture, pigmentation and more.
How does it work?
Microneedling uses tiny needles to create micro-wounds that trigger collagen and elastin production deep within the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing and rebuilding properties to uncover a new canvas.
What is a microneedling procedure like?
First a team member will take a blood sample and then use a spinning tool called a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood. Next we will pair the PRP with Microneedling, with is tiny micro-punctures that activate your body’s natural healing and rebuilding process to reconstruct skin. We’ll clean and prepare your skin, prioritizing your comfort and talking you through the procedure. You may feel some discomfort, but the needles are so tiny that most patients don’t experience any pain. Your skin therapist will work with you to maximize your comfort level. Prior to the procedure, your provider will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area to increase comfort during your treatment.
How many PRP microneedling treatments will I need?
Patients typically need 4 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. Most patients report seeing improvements after the second treatment. Optimal results are achieved around three months after the last treatment as collagen production progresses. For maintenance we recommend up keep 1-2 times a year after the initial 4 treatments.
How long does a treatment last?
Results vary based on the individual and continue to improve for several months as collagen production increases. To maintain results, we recommend maintenance treatments every 12-18 months.
What can I expect after my procedure?
After the treatment, an ointment will be applied to the skin and you will be asked to refrain from wearing make up for several hours. Any minor redness or swelling resulting from your treatment will subside within 12-24 hours. After the treatment, you can expect to return to normal activities.
