What is a Chemical Peel?
Chemical peels are chemical solutions that are applied topically to the skin and left on for a precise period of time before being removed. They effectively remove tired, dead skin to reveal a more youthful complexion.
What skin conditions do Chemical Peels treat?
Fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, age spots, melasma, dull skin, acne, and more.
How does a Chemical Peel work?
During a chemical peel, a chemical solution is applied to the top layer of your skin to resurface your complexion. As skin recovers, the new layer of skin that grows back is smoother, brighter, and looks more youthful.
What is the procedure like?
We’ll start by ensuring your skin is clean and makeup-free. When the peel is applied, you may experience some tingling or warmth. The intensity of the chemical peel depends on the unique chemical compound chosen for your skin type and concerns.
How many chemical peels will I need?
We recommend a series of three peels for best results.
How long does a treatment last?
The total duration of your treatment will be between 20 and 25 minutes, depending on the type of peel selected.
What can I expect after my treatment?
You’ll experience some redness and peeling in the days following your treatment. As your skin will temporarily be more sensitive, you should be extra careful to avoid unprotected sun exposure and we always recommend wearing a daily mineral sunscreen.
