What It Treats

NanoLaserPeel is a comfortable erbium laser treatment that improves skin’s texture and appearance. The treatment polishes dull, dry skin with minimal downtime.

MicroLaserPeel can turn back time like no other non-surgical technology with a dramatic reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is deeper than NanoLaserPeel.

Laser Resurfacing Treatment is with Sciton's Contour TRL that penetrates deep into the skin, minimizing the most stubborn imperfections, such as the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and rough texture, for a vibrant, healthy complexion. With less recovery time than traditional CO2 lasers.

How It Works

  • During the treatment, as the provider glides the erbium laser across the skin, you may feel a slight warming sensation, which means the laser is doing its job.

Pre Treatment

We’ll first clean your skin of any makeup and moisturizers. For male clients, you’ll need to shave in order for us to treat your lower face. Numbing cream will be applied to your canvas for the laser resurfacing treatment and MicroLaserPeel. For the NanoLaserPeel no numbing is required.

Post Treatment

NanoLaserPeel and MicroLaserPeel Aftercare

    DO

    • Use a gentle cleanser with light pressure to cleanse the skin.
    • Make-up can be worn 24 hours after your treatment.
    • Continue to use your hydrador as your skin may feel tight and dry.
    • Make-up can be worn 24 hours after your treatment.
    • Wear sunscreen.

    AVOID

    • Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating for at least 24 hours, use gentle patting to wipe sweat off treated skin.
    • Avoid saunas, swimming, hot tubs and hot yoga for 24 hours.
    • Prolonged sun exposure is to be avoided for 4 weeks after treatment.
    • Avoid scratching and itching, as scarring and pigmentation complications can occur.

    EXPECT

    • Redness is normal and expected. Redness can persist for up to 7 days depending on the intensity of treatment. Use gentle cleansers and keep your skin hydrated and out of the sun.
    • Notify us of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, etc.)

    Laser Resurfacing Aftercare

      DO

      • Use a balancing emulsion with light pressure to cleanse the skin.
      • Swelling is typically a short-term response. Use of a cold compress or ice packs will help to relieve the swelling. To avoid further swelling, you may choose to sleep in an upright position the first night after the treatment. Sleeping on your back with an elevated pillow will also help prevent the creation of prematurely peeling skin.
      • Continue to use a hydrating cream, as your skin may feel tight and dry
      • Post treatment discomfort may be relieved by over the counter oral pain relievers; i.e. Extra Strength Tylenol or prescribed pain medication if order by the doctor. Oral Benadryl may help itching but can be sedating.
      • Wear sunscreen.
      • A cold compress or an ice pack can be used to provide comfort if the treated area is especially warm. This is typically only needed within the first 12 – 24 hours after the treatment.
      • Oozing or seeping of clear serous fluid (light pink) may occur if the peel is a deep one. This can last for 24-72 hours depending on the treatment depth. This is a process of the skin healing. Your tehcnician has applied an occlusive barrier (i.e. Aquaphor or balm). This barrier may mix with the oozing material and can be dabbed off with clean gauze. Be careful not to rub or scrub the treated area.
      • Cleanse the skin two times a day with plain, lukewarm water and balancing emulsion beginning the morning after the treatment. Use your hands to gently apply the cleanser and water and finish by patting dry with a soft cloth. Be careful not to rub the treated area.
      • After cleansing your face, reapply the occlusive barrier, i.e. Aquaphor, taking care to cover all treated areas. The occlusive barrier is needed to provide a protective barrier that will hold moisture into the skin and provide protection to the skin from pollutants in the air as the skin heals. Reapply the occlusive barrier as needed. Do not allow the treated area to dry out. Healing occurs more rapidly if the skin surface is kept moist and protected.
      • Once skin has healed (no longer wearing the occlusive barrier) you may begin to wear makeup. If you are able to wear makeup, a sunblock should be worn on a daily basis to help prevent any hyperpigmentation issues that could be caused by direct or indirect sunlight. Sun block should be used vigilantly for up to 3 months after the procedure.

      AVOID

      • Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating for at least 72 hours, use gentle patting to wipe sweat off treated skin.
      • Avoid saunas, swimming, hot tubs and hot yoga for 72 hours.
      • Prolonged sun exposure is to be avoided for 8 weeks after treatment.
      • Peeling and flaking generally occur within 24 hours post treatment and should be allowed to come off naturally. DO NOT PICK, RUB, OR FORCE OFF ANY SKIN DURING THE HEALING PROCESS, THIS COULD RESULT IN SCARRING AND INFECTION! Gently washing the skin more frequently will help to promote the peeling process.
      • When showering, be sure to avoid getting shampoo directly on the treated area. You may consider taking your shower with the back of your head to the water to avoid directly hitting your face with the full force stream of the water.

      EXPECT

      • Redness is normal and expected. Redness can persist for up to 12 days depending on the intensity of treatment. Use gentle cleansers and keep your skin hydrated and out of the sun.
      • Notify us of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, etc.)
