Laser Hair Removal Treatment

Laser hair removal targets the dark pigment in hair follicles to eliminate hair at the root. Unlike shaving, laser treatment gets to the base of the hair follicle to minimize and eliminate hair regrowth.

You’ll be asked to shave 1 day before your treatment date so that hair is short and pigment is visible. We’ll remove any makeup or cream from the treatment site before we begin.

If you are new to this treatment, please book a "Spot Treatment" at least 24 hours before your appointment (72 hours for skin type 5). We will spot test to ensure you do not negatively react.

AVOID

• Sun exposure
• Heat - hot tubs, saunas, etc. for 1-2 days
• Avoid skin irritants products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, etc
• Do not wax or pluck between treatments

EXPECT

• Redness and perifollicular edema (looks like a rash/bug bites) are common and resolve with time
• Bruising and swelling are less common but may occur and will resolve with time
• Hair may take up to 2 weeks to fall out
• Hair removal requires a series of treatments. The number of treatments depends on body location and type of hair
• Notify us of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, etc.)

We generally recommend six treatments, spaced about six weeks apart, for a long-lasting, noticeable reduction in hair regrowth.

How long does a treatment last?

Most clients notice a reduction in the number of hairs immediately following a laser hair removal procedure. After a series of treatment sessions, results can be permanent.

What can I expect after my procedure?

Laser hair removal does not require recovery or downtime, so you can return to your regular schedule immediately following treatment. You will notice an immediate reduction in hair in the treated area.
