    • Sun damage
    • Visible signs of aging
    • Enlarged pores
    • Dull skin appearance

    How It Works

Unlike other laser treatments, HALO delivers wavelengths that resurface the top layer of your skin as well as the thick layer of tissue directly under the surface of your skin. Thus why it is called a “hybrid” treatment. Resurfacing the top layer of skin removes dullness and pigment. Treating the deeper skin tissue targets deep pigmentation and stimulates collagen and elastin production to tighten and smooth the skin.

    Pre Treatment

We’ll first clean your skin of any makeup and moisturizers. For male clients, you’ll need to shave in order for us to treat your lower face. Numbing cream will be applied to your canvas.

    Post Treatment

    DO

    • Cleanse the skin two times a day with plain, lukewarm water with a gentle cleanser, beginning the morning after the treatment, use your hands and gentle patting motions
    • Moisturizer should be applied generously with clean hands over the treated area and reapplied whenever your skin feels dry
    • Sunscreen is a MUST and should be used daily beginning the day after treatment and used consistently for up to 3 months post procedure
    • Make-up can typically be worn once the peeling process is complete

    AVOID

    • DO NOT rub, scrub, use an exfoliant, wash cloth or a skin care brush in the treated area
    • Do not apply any other products that were not instructed by the clinic - eg. essential oils, coconut oil, etc
    • Avoid getting shampoo directly on the treated area
    • Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating until after the skin is healed
    • Avoid scratching and itching, as scarring and pigmentation complications can occur. Itching be relieved by oral Benadryl

    EXPECT

    • The treated area may be extremely warm for 1-2 hours after the treatment and may continue for 12-24 hours after the treatment
    • Redness is normal and expected. Redness generally increases in intensity for the first few days after treatment with day 3 usually being the most intense. Redness can persist for up to 7 days
    • MENDS (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) will appear on the 2nd or 3rd day after treatment as tiny dark spots and bronzed appearance to the treated skin. MENDS are part of the healing process where treated tissue is working its way out of your body as new fresh skin is regenerated. During this time, your skin will feel very dry and feel like sandpaper before flaking and peeling off. Keep your skin well moisturized to support the healing process. Do not pick at your skin.
    • Once the skin has healed, and the MENDs have naturally come off, you are able to resume your full skincare regimen.
    • Swelling is common and expected immediately after treatment
    • Notify us of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, etc.)

    FAQ

    How long will recovery take?

Social downtime is 3-5 days. You can wear makeup the day after your treatment.

    What happens during the treatment?

You will feel minimal to no discomfort. Your clinician may place a topical ointment on your skin to reduce the sensation during treatment. He or she will treat a section of your face at a time by rolling the HALO hand piece in a crisscross pattern.

What should I expect after treatment?

The treatment area will likely feel warm for 1-2 hours after treatment. The mild warmth may continue for 12-24 hours. You can place a cold compress over your skin during this time and/or mist your skin if you need relief. The treated area will be visibly red for up to 7 days after treatment. Redness is typically most apparent on day 3 after treatment. Swelling is not uncommon between days 2-4 but should subside after day 4.

    What results can I expect?

You will see improvements in the appearance of skin in addition to significant removal of discolouration, improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, skin reflectivity and glow.

Can I return to normal activities after the treatment?

Absolutely. For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to instructions, but after that you will be able to go about your normal activities. After the first 24 hours, your skin will begin to peel, and that may take up to 5 days depending upon your level of treatments, but you will be able to put on makeup.

    When will I see results?

You will see initial results between day 2 and 5 after your HALO treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in the first 2 to 3 weeks.

How long will my results last?

Your HALO results can last for years to come, as long as you continue to keep your new healthy skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen.
