Triphala is a blend of botanicals that supports tonicity, motility, and also a healthy gut microbiome. Magnesium hydroxide, a well-known ingredient that works by osmosis, draws water from surrounding tissues to the intestines; this local increase of water not only softens the stool, but it also has a positive influence on the volume, which promotes intestinal motility.

Application
Recommended Dose: Adults 18 years and older: Take 2 capsules with eight ounces of water at bedtime, or as directed by a health care practitioner. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products. Allow at least 6-12 hours for laxative effect to occur. For occasional use only. For use beyond 7 days, consult a health care practitioner.
Risk Information: Do not use this product if you have fever, any undiagnosed gastrointestinal trouble, abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease, abdominal pain of unknown origin, or severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting, if you have a kidney disorder or are taking cardiac medications. If you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea while using this product, reduce dose or discontinue use. Ask a health care practitioner if symptoms persist, worsen or if laxative effect does not occur within 7 days. If you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance, consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
