Justine Paquin's bio:

Justine Paquin was born and raised in the beautiful town of St-Boniface near Trois-Riviere in Quebec. Her creative potential although evident was nurtured by her family, friends, and teachers. After spending 17 years in her hometown she one day packed up her belongings and without knowing a word of English; moved to Banff, Alberta. After spending more than a year in Banff, Justine moved to Calgary where she began to network with other local artists, transforming her 700 square foot apartment into her studio. It was from there that she decidedly dedicated herself towards the pursuit of her artistic passions. After having established herself is Calgary she moved to Vancouver where she currently resides.

Although she began sketching at a young age, she later developed her skill set to encompass other forms of media including wood carving, sculpting, and painting in both oil and acrylic. Justine has been largely self taught; with limited formal education in the arts. Her natural fascination and raw talent has evolved over the years from elaborate and de-constructed acrylic paintings to her expressions in oil. Now most recently she fancies bold use of colour in expressions of movement and emotion.
